As part of its investment program, LLPM has acquired a two-storey building in the district of Penampang, about 12 km from the city of Kota Kinabalu in 2007. The investment is meant to diversify and complement LLPM’s income in the short and long term.

The building is now being leased to a hypermarket chain, Servay Supermarket (Sabah) Sdn. Bhd., which has been in operation for ten years at that building prior to LLPM’s acquisition. Servay is one of the biggest hypermarket chain operators in Sabah.

The investment also augurs well with LLPM’s foray into retailing through its subsidiary, LPM Corporation Sdn. Bhd. which operates D’ One Mart in Labuan. D’ One Mart is a 24-hour supermarket that started out as a mini-market in 2005 and later expanded to a supermarket in 2008.
