The Port has been certified as ISPS Code-Compliant since July 2004. The certification is valid until June 2009. In effort to boost the security aspects of the port, LLPM has implemented various initiatives including:-

  • A dedicated and well-trained team of port security personnel.
    •  
  • 24-hours security surveillance and patrol.
    •  
  • A Security Control Centre equipped with digital CCTV system that can be accessed remotely. The centre also doubles as a Control Tower to monitor port operations.
    •  
  • Regular drills and training to enhance knowledge and readiness.
    •  
  • Safety procedures are being strictly adhered to at all times.
